Stop arguing with your subconscious.
When knowing better doesn’t quite translate into feeling better, let’s explore what’s going on beneath the surface and work on changing it.
Overthinking. Confidence wobbles. A brain that saves its biggest worries for bedtime. Sometimes the same old thing turns up in a slightly different outfit. Let’s get curious about what’s going on underneath.

You don’t need to arrive with the perfect explanation. You can start with “I keep doing this”, “I don’t know why I feel like this” or even “something just feels off”.
You understand it logically. Your emotions apparently missed the memo.
And frankly, you’d quite like the keys back.
Work, relationships, social situations — life gets smaller when self-belief does.
Stress, pressure, career decisions or confidence at work. Sometimes the office follows you home.
People don’t come with instruction manuals. I bring together Cognitive Hypnotherapy, NLP and coaching to find an approach that fits you — quirks, questions and all.
When knowing better doesn’t quite translate into feeling better, let’s explore what’s going on beneath the surface and work on changing it.
Notice the stories you tell yourself, try a different perspective and put your strengths to work. Your inner critic doesn’t get the final say.
Find a little more trust in yourself, whether you’re speaking up at work, meeting new people or second-guessing a perfectly ordinary text message.
When your mind has seventeen tabs open, it can be hard to find a quiet moment. We’ll explore what sets off the worry and practise ways to respond more calmly.
When even the small things feel like a lot, you don’t need another pep talk. We’ll make space for what you’re experiencing and explore a way forward, at your pace.
Work has a habit of coming home with us, even when the laptop stays shut. I draw on my HR experience alongside hypnotherapy and coaching to help you untangle what’s going on.
You set the pace. We’ll talk things through, see what makes sense to you and take it from there.
No polished life story required. We start with what you’re experiencing now and what you’d like to be different.
Because the thing you’re struggling with isn’t always the whole story.
We’ll choose from hypnotherapy, NLP and coaching according to what you need. No squeezing you into a pre-written script.
Professionally, confidentially and at your pace. You remain conscious, involved and in control.
It might be a big shift or a small moment when you realise, “Actually, I handled that differently.” Both count.
“The results-focused approach was tailored to my individual needs and the progress tracking between sessions really worked well. The changes to my life both inside and outside of work are impressive.”
“Jacqui was so warm, welcoming and non judgmental. I had a total of two sessions and during that time period I went from somebody who relied on snacking to pass the time, to somebody who realised that I didn’t need that in my life and this completely redirected my focus.”
“It was life changing. Rather than getting into an endless, expensive cycle of counselling, Jacqui had a bespoke program that sort of fixed me. Just a few visits and I had re-trained my brain.”

I’m a fully qualified Cognitive Hypnotherapist and Master NLP Practitioner. Before moving into therapy, I was an HR Manager in the technology sector. People have always been the interesting bit of the job — even when the job involved spreadsheets.
I trained with Trevor Silvester, founder of the Quest Institute, and have helped train Cognitive Hypnotherapy and NLP students. You can expect a warm welcome, a confidential conversation and a real interest in what life is like for you.
Worry doesn’t respect office hours, and a difficult day can follow you all the way to the sofa. I combine therapeutic expertise with my HR background to understand both you and the working world you’re dealing with.
You need to feel comfortable with the person you’re talking to. That’s why I offer a free 30-minute online consultation: a chance to ask questions and see whether we click. Take your time choosing, and check that any therapist’s professional registration is current.
A session typically lasts around 60–90 minutes. We talk about what’s holding you back and may then work with hypnotic techniques to address the blocks. You remain conscious, the experience is often described as similar to deep relaxation or daydreaming. With your agreement, there may also be things to practise between sessions.
It depends on what we’re working on and how you progress. Cognitive Hypnotherapy is designed as a brief therapeutic approach, depending on the complexity of the issue, most people achieve what they’re looking for in 3 to 6 sessions.
I am trained to use a range of tools, including regression techniques, but the approach does not require you to relive the full pain of past events.
Yes — you’re still you, and you’re still in charge. You stay aware and involved as we work together on the things you’d like to change. Suggestions will never go against your dignity, safety, beliefs or values.
“Clinical Hypnotherapy” simply describes hypnosis used in a clinical setting. Cognitive Hypnotherapy is the approach developed by Trevor Silvester at the Quest Institute. The emphasis is on treating the person rather than the problem. There's no fixed script or one-size-fits-all process. I draw on a range of techniques and adapt them to how you think and what you're dealing with, even if your issue shares a label with something someone else has experienced.
Absolutely. Work is a big part of life, and it’s welcome in the conversation. Before becoming a hypnotherapist, I was an HR Manager in the technology sector. I bring that experience into our work when career decisions, pressure or workplace confidence are part of what’s troubling you.
NLP works with your everyday conscious awareness: noticing and reframing thought patterns and language. Hypnotherapy works with a deeper, more relaxed state of focus to help embed change beyond conscious effort. Many practitioners, including myself, blend the two for a more complete approach.
Yes. Quest Institute based Cognitive Hypnotherapy has been the subject of independent research looking at its effectiveness for anxiety and depression, with outcomes compared against standard NHS talking-therapy benchmarks.
We’ll meet over Teams for a free, confidential conversation. Tell me what you’d like help with, ask whatever’s on your mind and see whether we’re a good fit. No perfectly rehearsed explanation needed.
